Community Medical Associates is affiliated with San Angelo Community Medical Center, a 171-bed hospital serving San Angelo and the Concho Valley. San Angelo Community Medical Center is designated as a Level III Trauma Center and the Concho Valley’s only accredited Chest Pain Center and the only area hospital to receive heart failure accreditation. These accreditations complement a heart and vascular care program, including heart surgery and electrophysiology. SACMC is a leader in robotic-assisted surgery and offers robotic-assisted surgery procedures in general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics and urology.
Other key services include a Level II neonatal intensive care unit, women’s and children’s services, bariatric program and a progressive orthopedic Joint Center for total and partial hip and knee surgery.
More than 150 physicians have medical staff privileges at SACMC. The hospital also offers a health club and wellness program and is the exclusive health sponsor of the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health in San Angelo.
