Dr. Luis Acosta is a board-certified internal medicine and gastroenterology physician at Community Medical Associates and a member of the medical staff at San Angelo Community Medical Center.
Dr. Acosta received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and completed his residency at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque. He returned to the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio to complete his fellowship in gastroenterology and liver disease.
Dr. Acosta recently moved to San Angelo after practicing for more than 11 years, the last seven years in private practice in San Antonio. He diagnoses and treats disorders of the digestive system and provides upper endoscopies and colonoscopies.
His goal is to deliver personable, attentive care, while remaining up-to-date with the latest diagnostic and therapeutic techniques in gastroenterology and liver disease. He believes the most important part of medical care is communication and understanding between the physician, patient and patient’s family.
Dr. Acosta and his wife are the proud parents of three young daughters.
