Dr. Hector Acton is a board-certified pediatrician at Community Medical Associates and a member of the medical staff at San Angelo Community Medical Center.
He received his undergraduate degree from Purdue University and medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN. He completed his residency at Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, AZ.
Dr. Acton is a member of the Board of Trustees for SACMC. He also serves as the physician delegate, representing the Concho Valley Medical Society, to the Texas Medical Association.
Because of an inspiring and rich personal history, Dr. Acton often speaks to at-risk children sharing a remarkable and encouraging story from his childhood in Mexico to education in the United States. He is an avid sportsman, enjoying the great outdoors with his family. They recently accompanied their son as a participant to the 2016 Drive, Chip & Putt National Championship in Augusta, GA.
Seeing potential in every young person, Dr. Acton founded Creating Equality and Opportunities, an organization designed to mentor and navigate students through the college application process.
He and his wife, Guimel, share a love of the arts, traveling and family time with their two children.
