About Dr. Mejia:

Dr. Genevieve Pfluger Mejia is a board-certified OB/GYN physician at Community Medical Associates and a member of the medical staff at SACMC.

She received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and medical degree from Saint George's University School of Medicine. She completed residency at Mercer University School of Medicine.

Dr. Mejia was instrumental in bringing robotic-assisted surgery to San Angelo and became the first female surgeon in the area to operate with the da Vinci system. She focuses on infertility and achieving pregnancy for patients in addition to a traditional OB/GYN practice. With a true heart for healing, she enjoys all aspects of medicine including medical mission trips.

She serves as one of two medical directors for the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women's Health breast and cervical cancer grant and as medical director for the Pregnancy Help Center. She is a board member of the Rape Crisis Center, Cultural Affairs Council and member of the Junior League.

Dr. Mejia provides clinics in San Angelo, Brady and Junction and is a 2013 recipient of San Angelo's "20 Under 40" leaders.

Born and raised in San Angelo, she is married to OB/GYN physician Bryan Mejia. They have two daughters.
